It is a widely used probiotic drug-containing Bacillus clausii, a type of bacteria necessary in the digestive tract.
These probiotics are used in therapies to combat diarrhea caused by bacterial infections by promoting intestinal flora development.
Enterogermina is a probiotic for oral use (live bacteria and yeasts that are good for health) used mainly for antidiarrheal purposes.
The active ingredient of entering germinal
Spores of Bacillus cereus.
Presentation
Enterogermina is presented for commercialization in capsules and vials containing 2 billion spores of Bacillus clausii.
Indications of entering germinal
Enterogermina is most commonly used in the prevention and treatment of the following conditions:
- Diarrhea.
- Diarrhea is associated with antibiotics.
- Amoebic dysentery.
- Traveler’s diarrhea.
- Gastrointestinal disorders such as colitis and gastroenteritis.
- Indigestion.
- Respiratory tract infection
- Irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease
Enterogermina helps in the treatment of diarrhea that has an acute onset.
The excessive use of medications and antibiotics can destroy the intestinal flora; the enter germinal restores it.
It also treats some respiratory tract disorders (cold and flu).
Mechanism of action
Probiotics are live microorganisms (bacteria, yeasts, etc.) that, when taken orally, benefit your health by altering the balance of flora (microbes) in the intestine.
They are most commonly used when balancing helpful bacteria in the gut. It is hampered by the administration of antibiotics or when harmful bacteria (pathogens) have proliferated excessively in our bodies and cause disease.
In probiotic therapy, such as entering germinal, these beneficial microorganisms are ingested and therefore deliberately enter the intestinal microflora.
This results in large numbers of beneficial bacteria that compete with harmful bacteria for nutrients, ultimately killing harmful bacteria.
Dose
- The recommended dose in nursing babies is 1 to 2 vials daily.
- In children, 1 to 2 vials or capsules daily are recommended.
- In adults, 2 to 3 vials or capsules daily are recommended.
If you take a capsule, swallow the capsule as a whole. Do not chew, break, or crush. If you take more than one capsule daily, keep enough space between each dose.
When using the suspension form, shake the contents well before use. Discard the bottle if you notice an abnormal odor or color or if the bottle is kept open for a long time.
Never use more than the recommended dose or for more extended periods without the doctor’s consent.
Enterogermina capsules can be taken with water or with juices or milk. The vials can be dissolved in any beverage of the patient’s choice.
It should not be given immediately after taking antibiotics. If the patient has a course of antibiotics for any condition, they should wait thirty minutes to an hour before taking the enter germinal.
Side effects of enterogermina
Serious side effects caused by entering germinal treatment have not yet been reported.
If any side effect is observed, its use should be discontinued, and a doctor should be consulted immediately.
