Taking care of your child is a priority, and that doesn’t just include the food he eats.
Have you thought about the ingredients you put on your baby’s skin? Whatever you put on the baby’s skin, such as to prevent diaper rash, it seeps directly through the skin.
Therefore, you must take the time to learn which ingredients are safe. I always suggest if you can do it at home.
Go ahead! It is cheaper, but you also have control of what you are putting on your baby.
That leads us to try this fantastic baby wipes recipe. It’s so easy and made with quality ingredients to keep your baby safe from harmful chemicals, and preservatives often found in baby wipes on the shelf.
Process
Start by cutting the paper towel roll in half with a sharp knife. It is important to use thicker, higher-quality paper towels that are not chlorinated. The thin and cheap ones will tear, and chlorine is toxic.
Then go ahead and change the purpose of an old baby wipe container. Place one of the cut rolls in a large bowl.
Now, let’s mix the ingredients; In a bowl, add the purified or distilled water. Since we are not adding any preservatives, I suggest doing one batch at a time; however, by using filtered or distilled water, you will reduce any possible bacterial growth.
Add the aloe vera and apple cider vinegar to the water and stir. Aloe vera heals the skin and is a powerful immune booster.
Then there’s the timeless and dependable apple cider vinegar. This unique liquid is packed with bacteria-fighting properties, and what better place to fight bacteria than on your baby’s bottom! It can even help prevent that irritating diaper rash.
Now that you’ve mixed those ingredients let’s add some more. Pour in the castile soap, which works wonders far beyond this recipe as it is made with pure, all-natural ingredients.
Now, let’s add the jojoba oil. Moisturizing is essential, especially when it comes to your baby’s skin. Jojoba oil can provide adequate moisture for your baby. As an emollient, jojoba oil soothes the skin and is very healing. Mix all the ingredients well.
Next, let’s add the essential oils. Lavender and chamomile oils just can’t be beaten when it comes to being gentle, sedating, and even preventative.
Chamomile promotes skin regeneration while containing anti-inflammatory properties, which can help ease breakouts and even prevent them from surfacing in the first place.
Lavender is very versatile. While it provides a much-desired respite from rashes and irritation, it can help relax your baby, too, as it is highly therapeutic. Stir all the ingredients until well mixed.
Now pour some of the mixtures over the paper towels. Turn the roll over and run in some more. Keep turning and swelling until you have used all of the mixes and are very wet.
It may take a few minutes to soak the entire roll. Now, take out the central cardboard tube. This should allow the wipes to be easy to grip.
Place the paper towel roll in the container, pulling one corner of the centerpiece lightly through the hole, so it’s easy to grab when ready.
