1. The banana chips

While they seem harmless, a serving of banana chips contains up to 10 grams of saturated fat.

Being soaked in palm oil is the cause as the fries undergo a deep frying process.

This type of food is not much different from French fries.

In addition to limiting your intake, consider baking banana slices in a low-heat oven yourself.

In this way, you can avoid added sugar and other harmful ingredients used during manufacturing.

2. Sports drinks

Numerous studies found no difference in electrolyte measurements when comparing marathon runners who consumed sports drinks during the marathon with those who drink water.

The water is fine. Just stay hydrated while you exercise.

3. Microwave popcorn

While dry popcorn can be a healthy snack, it may be worth avoiding popcorn that is sold to make in the microwave. The odor emitted by a newly opened bag can be harmful if inhaled regularly.

Many manufacturers can add up to a half gram of trans fat per serving without disclosing it on the Nutrition Facts label.

4. The granola

Granola can be classified among the healthy breakfast options as it can serve as a source of protein, iron, fiber, and more. But it should be consumed with some caution as it can also contain hydrogenated oils and large amounts of sugar.

Opt for brands with minimal added sugar and be sure to avoid overeating.

The serving size of granola is smaller than cereal, not a whole bowl. The ideal amount would be a quarter or a third of a cup.

5. The dried fruits

In addition to unnecessary sugar, dried fruits may contain preservatives like sulfur dioxide to extend their shelf life. It was also found in these preservative foods that deteriorate health.

Despite its low toxicity, sulfur dioxide can cause allergic reactions such as asthma attacks, headaches or nausea in some chemical-sensitive people, according to expert reports.
