Insomnia in Pregnancy: How to control it

Are you tired, restless and frustrated?

This causes difficulty in sleeping during pregnancy and is also a common symptom in pregnant mothers and even after the baby’s birth.

This sleep disorder is the inability to fall asleep or stay asleep, especially in the third trimester of pregnancy. One of its triggers is a complex combination of hormones and several unfavorable conditions, such as frequent urination, persistent heartburn during pregnancy, leg cramps, and prenatal anxiety, weight gain, all can cause difficulty sleeping during pregnancy .

Probably at this time, close your eyes more minor than you think, since any anxiety about the birth of the baby does not deliver a quiet night, also the fact of a dream interrupted by the need to urinate, and the point of being around all night (It is not easy to sleep with a watermelon). If there is any good side to this, it is the assurance that you are receiving some solid practice for what is coming.

Do not worry. Insomnia, neither you nor the baby can hurt you. In addition, sometimes, simply letting go of worry is all you need to help yourself sleep. Disable the emotional covers. If you have persistent concerns that keep you awake at night, talk to a friend or your partner, try to sort everything you need during the daylight hours, or write them down.

Take your time at dinner. Do not devour food, and keeping the pace paused helps so that heartburn does not support its spinning. And try not to eat dinner too close to bedtime (a full stomach can make you too energized – or too uncomfortable to sleep).

Avoid caffeine and chocolate in the afternoon or evening, as they can keep you awake; take the necessary liquids in the afternoon, so you will not interrupt sleep by stopping to the bathroom.

Make a routine at bedtime. Try to go to sleep and get up at the same time permanently. Every night, read a book, listen to soothing music, watch TV until you feel drowsy, try to fall asleep in a dream state with a warm bath and a cup of warm milk, or request a relaxing prenatal massage.
