Symptoms of the First Month of Pregnancy

Many of the early symptoms of pregnancy are very similar to premenstrual symptoms.

Sometimes, it may be impossible to tell if you are heading toward your period or are pregnant during that first month. So until I take a pregnancy test, this will become an uncertainty.

What symptoms could I expect during that first month of pregnancy?

Many of these symptoms are caused by the pregnancy hormones released in the mother’s body from the moment the embryo is implanted in the uterus, and for this reason, some women begin to feel the first symptoms.

You may or may not have several possible symptoms during this time. Mood swings can come just when you are waiting for your menstrual period, which is often not recognized as a pregnancy symptom.

Let’s see some symptoms.

Sensitivity in the breasts: This may be more extreme than before your period, but it may be more of a confusing symptom. You could also notice the visible veins in her breasts and her increasingly dark nipples.

Stomach Cramps: With breast tenderness, these may be worse than normal premenstrual cramps and may continue for longer than usual. Along with a period, this could mean pregnancy, but not always.

Fatigue is your body, and frequent urination: Caused by the kidneys that have to work harder to process the extra body fluid accumulated during pregnancy and an effect of the hCG pregnancy hormone. (This is caused by the pressure of the baby on the bladder).

Food cravings, nausea, and aversions:  Most people have heard of food cravings during pregnancy, but the foods you have always wanted could also become repulsive.

Headaches: There are many reasons for headaches during the first month of pregnancy; in most cases, stress and hormones can also be a factor and the increase in blood volume due to pregnancy.

Back pain: Shallow back pain, again, is caused by the most damaging effects of the hormone progesterone; this time, loosening the ligaments around the pelvis can cause instability of pain.

Thrush: This is an unfortunate symptom caused by pregnancy hormones that alter the natural balance of bacteria in the vagina. For some women, this is a sign of very early pregnancy.

Absence of menstruation: Some women may confuse the detection of their period, which can sometimes lead to confusion.
